I am a PostDoc, conducting research into river flow modelling within Work Package 4. I work in the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering at the University of Bath.
I visited the University of Stellenbosch for a second time in October to conduct collaborative research. The first occasion I visited, was focused on working with colleagues in Work Package 4 to set up research plans. Whilst I was visiting I also worked alongside Work Package 3 during the sampling period.
For the second visit, the aim was to collaborate with Dr. Edward Archer. This visit was very focused on collaboration between Work packages 1 and 4. The aim of which was to combine modelled and actual data to analyse results.
Whilst I was in Stellenbosch I also got the opportunity to present my research at the Stellenbosch River Collaborative end of year meeting. This meeting was focused on emerging research and developing initiative with technology. With talks from the Stellenbosch Wildlands Project, Cloudline and SmartStellenbosch. It was a very enjoyable meeting with lots of discussion and chances to collaborate further.
